Cheez Whiz is kind of semi-solid in the jar, when you take a few spoonfuls and heat it in the microwave for about a minute (it really doesn't need long) it softens and gets a more runny dip-like consistency. It has a very abrasive artificial flavour that catches in the back of your throat - it's not very nice. I think if mixed with other ingredients such as sour cream or Philedelphia cheese it'd be more palatable, but as a dip or sauce on its own I wouldn't really recommend it unless you like the flavour of artificial cheese. Velveeta is much better, if you can get your hands on it.
